Industrial lighting

For many years now there has been a trend in homes towards a form of lighting that reflects the warehouse or factory.  Holophane, a company in Newark Ohio, started making "prismatic"shades in 1905.  Designed with rows of prisms, Holophane created shades that cast specific patterns of light and provided a light chart with every one.  In this section we offer a variety of lights most of which are Holophanes.  These lights are particularly good in kitchens where a high quality task light is needed, but will serve well in any setting where a modern or minimalist aesthetic is what you are after.
